Dolwain Green
Fine Art Photographer
I was born in Montego Bay, Jamaica and came to this country with my parents when I was 12.
I began my photography career over 14 years ago while documenting the story of Jamaican migrant workers on the East Coast. This expanded into photographing K-12 and college sports, and recreation activities such as para-gliding, wind surfing, rock climbing, and his main love – rural and urban landscapes. On a parallel track, I have had an on-going interest in capturing Reggae and World Music performances.
The focus of my Bachelor’s Degree was Cultural History with keen interest emphasis in the migration of people of African descent in sub-Sahara Africa, the Caribbean and the United States. Photographs that tell stories within cultural and historic contexts are of special interest to me.
