Free Village Society — Funding for Student Learning
About Us
Free Village Society is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving educational outcomes for students who face barriers to opportunity. We believe every learner deserves access to high-quality resources, structured learning supports, and inspiring pathways to success.
Our Mission
To advance educational equity in schools and the community by funding and supporting evidence-informed learning initiatives that help students learn, grow, and thrive—academically and personally.
What We Do
We focus on practical, measurable educational support through programs such as:
- Direct learning grants: Financial support for graduating students to cover educational needs such as tuition, tutoring, learning materials, technology, test preparation, and related academic services.
- Academic enrichment: School-based supports for after-school tutoring, skill-building workshops, and coaching designed to strengthen literacy, numeracy, and subject mastery.
- Mentorship & guidance: Community supports for mentors, coaches, and educators to help students set goals, stay motivated, and build effective study habits.
- Resource access: Partnerships with schools and community organizations to ensure learning resources reach the students who need them most.
How the Educational Funds Will Be Used
We use donor and grant funds to deliver learning support efficiently and transparently. Contributions will help cover:
- Program delivery costs (e.g., tutoring support, instructional materials, program coordination)
- Student access and service support (e.g., supplies, technology access, learning subscriptions, transportation support where applicable)
- Monitoring and evaluation to track progress and improve outcomes over time
Who We Serve
We serve students and families facing challenges such as limited access to learning resources, under-resourced schools, financial strain, learning gaps, and other barriers.
Our Impact (What Success Looks Like)
With educational funding, students can make meaningful progress in core academic areas and long-term learning readiness. Our outcomes include:
- Improved academic performance and confidence in reading and math
